{"id":2103,"date":"2009-07-27T08:10:00","date_gmt":"2009-07-27T08:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/transintersexhistory.africa\/?p=2103"},"modified":"2026-02-18T16:02:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-18T14:02:13","slug":"july-2009-launch-of-eastern-and-southern-african-trans-and-intersex-regional-exchange-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/transintersexhistory.africa\/july-2009-launch-of-eastern-and-southern-african-trans-and-intersex-regional-exchange-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"July 2009 \u2014 Launch of Eastern and Southern African Trans and Intersex Regional Exchange Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">July 2009 \u2014 Launch of Eastern and Southern African Trans and Intersex Regional Exchange Programme<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In July 2009, South Africa\u2019s <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/transintersexhistory.africa\/gender-dynamix-gdx-founded-south-africa\/\"><em>Gender DynamiX (GDX)<\/em> <\/a><\/strong>and Uganda&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/transintersexhistory.africa\/2008-founding-of-the-support-initiative-for-people-with-atypical-sex-development-sipd-uganda\/\"><strong><em>Support Initiative for People with atypical Sex Development (SIPD) <\/em><\/strong><\/a>formed a partnership to host an Eastern and Southern African Trans and Intersex Regional Exchange Programme, which would commence in <a href=\"https:\/\/transintersexhistory.africa\/eastern-and-southern-african-trans-and-intersex-regional-exchange-programme-year-1-part-1\/\">May 2010<\/a>.
