UNITY also works towards fighting stigmatisation discrimination and all forms of gender-based violence. The association is based in Lom\u00e9 and has branches in An\u00e9ho and Kara. Despite this structuring of the LGBT movement and the changes made to improve the living conditions of LGBT people in Togo, Trans* people and their specific needs are not taken into account by existing classic LGBT associations. The majority of actions are either MSM-centered or do not take into account the specific needs related to Trans* people in terms of health and human rights. This is due on the one hand to a lack of knowledge of trans identity and on the other hand to a low visibility of Trans* people in the evolution of the LGBT movement.&#8221;<\/h5>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vision<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A trans-led organisation with the capacity and resources to address the health, human rights and social development needs of trans people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mission<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To promote unity, visibility and the development of trans people and to address specific issues related to our sexual and gender identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Goals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bringing together under its umbrella all trans people in Togo<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Helping with the physical, psychological, social and economic development of trans people<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promoting the rights of trans people<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Developing a spirit of mutual aid and solidarity between trans people in Togo and people living in the same conditions of marginalisation in Africa and around the world<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promoting trans leadership<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contributing to the visibility of trans people<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implementing inclusive programmes for trans people<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Formulating approaches to solutions to the socio-legal and professional problems of trans people<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fighting for medical and psychological support for trans people on hormone therapy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contributing to access to prevention, care, hormonal treatments and HIV and STIs for trans people<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div
