{"id":6470,"date":"2018-12-14T15:02:00","date_gmt":"2018-12-14T13:02:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/transintersexhistory.africa\/?p=6470"},"modified":"2025-08-14T15:23:25","modified_gmt":"2025-08-14T13:23:25","slug":"14-december-2018-publication-of-a-report-on-the-prevalence-of-intimate-partner-violence-among-trans-and-lbq-persons-uganda","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/transintersexhistory.africa\/14-december-2018-publication-of-a-report-on-the-prevalence-of-intimate-partner-violence-among-trans-and-lbq-persons-uganda\/","title":{"rendered":"14 December 2018 \u2014 Publication of a Report on the Prevalence of Intimate Partner Violence Among Trans and LBQ Persons, Uganda"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">14 December 2018 \u2014 Publication of a Report on the Prevalence of Intimate Partner Violence Among Trans and LBQ Persons, Uganda<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 14 December 2018, the report, <em><strong>&#8216;Prevalence of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) Among LBTQ\/WSW Persons in Uganda&#8217;<\/strong><\/em>, was published by <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/transintersexhistory.africa\/2012-fem-alliance-uganda-fema-founded-uganda\/\">Fem Alliance Uganda (FEMA)<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The report covered 6 districts (Kampala, Mbale, Malaba, Mbarara, Kasese and Lira) in all of the regions of Uganda and looks at IPV and mental health, the impact of alcohol and substance use, the adequacy of protection measures, and misconceptions regarding IPV.
