organiza\u00e7\u00e3o de direitos humanos dedicada \u00e0s pessoas trans angolanas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Founded on the 31st of March 2019 by Imanni Da Silva, Movimento Eu Sou Trans Angola (M.E.S.T.A.), translated as I Am Trans Movement Angola, is a human rights organisation dedicated to Angolan trans people.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">M.E.S.T.A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>chama a aten\u00e7\u00e3o da sociedade para os desafios enfrentados pela comunidade trans devido \u00e0 discrimina\u00e7\u00e3o e \u00e0 viol\u00eancia que sofrem.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>destaca a import\u00e2ncia dos direitos da comunidade trans na sociedade (acesso a servi\u00e7os de sa\u00fade, educa\u00e7\u00e3o, seguran\u00e7a e prote\u00e7\u00e3o, e emprego).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>informa e educa a comunidade trans sobre seus direitos, sa\u00fade e quest\u00f5es de seguran\u00e7a.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>empodera e apoia v\u00edtimas de viol\u00eancia pela forma como expressam sua identidade de g\u00eanero.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>conscientiza e informa profissionais das \u00e1reas de sa\u00fade, seguran\u00e7a p\u00fablica, educa\u00e7\u00e3o e comunica\u00e7\u00e3o social.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A organiza\u00e7\u00e3o ainda n\u00e3o est\u00e1 registrada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>M.E.S.T.A.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>draws society&rsquo;s attention to the challenges faced by the trans community due to the discrimination and violence they suffer.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>highlights the importance of the rights of the trans community in society (access to health services, education, security and protection, and employment).<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>informs and educates the trans community about their rights, health and safety issues.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>empowers and supports victims of violence for the way they express their gender identity.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>raises awareness, trans and informs professionals in the fields of health, policing, education, and social communication.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The organisation is not yet M.E.S.T.A. realizou campanhas de conscientiza\u00e7\u00e3o em que pessoas trans s\u00e3o as protagonistas, representando as mensagens e os temas de cada campanha de forma concreta. Essas campanhas destacam a exist\u00eancia, a visibilidade, o respeito e o direito \u00e0 liberdade das pessoas trans:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Eu sou trans<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eu sou vis\u00edvel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eu tenho direito \u00e0 vida<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eles tamb\u00e9m prestaram apoio jur\u00eddico em casos de discrimina\u00e7\u00e3o contra pessoas trans, particularmente mulheres trans e profissionais do sexo, que s\u00e3o v\u00edtimas de deten\u00e7\u00f5es arbitr\u00e1rias, e intervieram em sua liberta\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A M.E.S.T.A. tamb\u00e9m participou de palestras e oficinas sobre estigma e discrimina\u00e7\u00e3o, bem como sobre empoderamento, em parceria com outras organiza\u00e7\u00f5es como a A.I.A., a Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Ir\u00eds, a revista Queer People e institui\u00e7\u00f5es como o PNUD, o INLS (Instituto Nacional de Luta contra a AIDS) e a Secretaria Provincial de Sa\u00fade.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>M.E.S.T.A has carried out awareness campaigns in which trans people are the protagonists, representing the messages and themes of each campaign in a real way. Imanni da Silva considera-se um ser livre e, ao longo de sua vida, desafiou normas de g\u00eanero prejudiciais impostas pela sociedade, inspirando outras pessoas a fazerem o mesmo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab\u00a0Estamos em uma miss\u00e3o de inclus\u00e3o\u00a0\u00bb, diz ela. \u00ab\u00a0Pessoas trans ainda sofrem muito com viol\u00eancia dom\u00e9stica, pris\u00f5es arbitr\u00e1rias e discrimina\u00e7\u00e3o em muitos espa\u00e7os sociais e p\u00fablicos.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Como l\u00edder do Movimento \u00ab\u00a0Eu Sou Trans\u00a0\u00bb em Angola e sendo ela pr\u00f3pria uma mulher trans, ela afirma que o caminho para se tornar ativista foi trilhado naturalmente, \u00ab\u00a0devido \u00e0 necessidade de obter resultados e erradicar obst\u00e1culos que impedem uma pessoa de ter uma vida digna e livre\u00a0\u00bb. Tudo isso, \u00e9 claro, em nome da liberdade: \u00ab\u00a0Liberdade acima de tudo. Liberdade para ser, fazer e me expressar.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O Programa das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas para o Desenvolvimento (PNUD) tem apoiado grupos e indiv\u00edduos em Angola, como Imanni, para sensibilizar tomadores de decis\u00e3o a incluir e abordar a orienta\u00e7\u00e3o sexual e a diversidade de g\u00eanero em debates, pol\u00edticas e estrat\u00e9gias nacionais e regionais. Imanni da Silva considers herself a free being, and throughout her life she has challenged harmful gender norms imposed by society, while inspiring others to do the same.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&lsquo;We are on a mission of inclusion,&rsquo; she says. &lsquo;Trans people still suffer greatly from domestic violence, arbitrary arrests and discrimination in many social and public spaces.&rsquo;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>As the leader of the\u00a0Movimento Eu Sou Trans\u00a0(I am Trans Movement) in Angola, and a trans woman herself, she says that the path to becoming an activist was paved naturally, &lsquo;because of the need to get results and eradicate obstacles that keep a person from having a dignified and free life.&rsquo; All, of course, in the name of freedom: &lsquo;Freedom above everything else. Freedom to be, to do and to express myself.&rsquo;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has supported groups and individuals in Angola, like Imanni, to sensitise decision makers to include and respond to sexual orientation and gender diversity in national and regional debates, policies and strategies.
