Liesl Theron traveled to Nigeria in order to meet 7 trans women in Lagos, Nigeria. 

This was the first outreach between GDX and Nigeria.  It was an informal discussion to learn from each other and share struggle experiences.  This meeting came to be after a discussion that Liesl had with Reverend Jide Macaulay from House of Rainbow earlier in that same year during the ILGA meeting in Johannesburg.  At the time Liesl had existing plans to visit Nigeria to attend a course and Reverend Macaulay offered to meet with her while in Lagos in order to introduce her to the trans women he knew.
