The Cape Town GIC Declaration requests the removal of WHO ICD diagnoses that pathologize gender diversity among children and youth.   It was issued by a working group of 40 delegates from 11 countries who met on 2 June 2014 at the 2nd Trans Health, Research and Advocacy Conference in Cape Town and was submitted to the  World Professional Association for Trans Health (World Professional Association for Trans Health. The Cape Town Declaration was also included in the submission to the United Nations 3rd cycle Universal Periodic Review.
