Basée en Guinée (Guinée-Conakry), l’association Trans-Arc-En-Ciel Guinée a été fondée dans 2023 par quatre femmes trans. Fondée par et pour des femmes transgenres, l’organisation œuvre à la défense de leurs droits, à la lutte contre la violence et la discrimination, à l’amélioration de leur accès aux soins de santé et aux services de protection, ainsi qu’au renforcement de leur autonomisation économique et sociale. Elle apporte un soutien ciblé aux femmes transgenres confrontées au rejet familial, à des conditions de vie précaires, à des violences fondées sur le genre et à l’exclusion sociale. Les initiatives de TAECG se déploient sur l’ensemble du territoire guinéen, grâce à des points focaux présents dans les quatre régions naturelles du pays. L’organisation a été enregistrée en 2024.
Based in Guinea (Guinea-Conakry), Trans-Arc-En-Ciel Guinée was founded on 2023 by four trans women. Trans Arc-En-Ciel Guinée (TAECG) focuses primarily on transgender women in Guinea. Established by and for transgender women, the organization works to defend their rights, combat violence and discrimination, improve their access to healthcare and protection services, and strengthen their economic and social empowerment. The organisation provides targeted support to transgender women facing family rejection, precarious living conditions, gender-based violence, and social exclusion. TAECG’s initiatives span the entire territory of Guinea, supported by focal points located across the country’s four natural regions. Translated from the French, “Arc-En-Ciel” means ‘rainbow’. The organisation was registered in 2024.

To build an inclusive and just Guinea, where transgender women live free, safe, and with dignity, free from discrimination and violence. The organisation aspires to a strong, supportive, and self-reliant transgender movement that ensures access to human rights, healthcare, protection, and economic empowerment for all transgender women.
Mission
Défendre et promouvoir les droits des femmes transgenres en Guinée, lutter contre la violence et la discrimination, faciliter leur accès aux soins de santé — y compris la prévention et la prise en charge du VIH — et renforcer leur protection, leur bien-être ainsi que leur autonomisation économique. L’organisation œuvre également à consolider le mouvement transgenre guinéen par le biais du plaidoyer, de la solidarité communautaire et du développement du leadership chez les femmes transgenres.
To defend and promote the rights of transgender women in Guinea, to combat violence and discrimination, to facilitate their access to healthcare—including HIV prevention and care—and to strengthen their protection, well-being, and economic empowerment. The organisation also works to bolster the Guinean transgender movement through advocacy, community solidarity, and the development of leadership among transgender women.

Les projets de l’organisation s’adressent principalement aux femmes transgenres en Guinée, en répondant à leurs besoins spécifiques en matière de droits humains, de santé, de sécurité, d’autonomisation et de participation sociale. L’organisation intervient à l’échelle nationale, avec des points focaux présents dans chacune des quatre régions naturelles du pays. Trans Arc-En-Ciel Guinée (TAECG) intervient principalement dans les domaines suivants :
- Droits humains et plaidoyer : promotion des droits des femmes transgenres, lutte contre les discriminations, les violences basées sur le genre et la stigmatisation, et plaidoyer pour leur inclusion dans les politiques publiques.
- VIH et santé : prévention du VIH et des IST, sensibilisation, orientation vers les services de dépistage et de prise en charge, grâce à nos pairs éducatrices issues de la communauté.
- Protection et sécurité : accompagnement des femmes transgenres victimes de violences, de menaces ou de rejet familial, soutien d’urgence et facilitation de leur relocalisation vers des lieux sûrs lorsque leur sécurité est menacée.
- Autonomisation économique : renforcement des capacités entrepreneuriales des femmes transgenres, développement de compétences numériques et soutien à leur indépendance financière.
- Renforcement du mouvement transgenre : développement du leadership communautaire, renforcement des capacités des militantes, consolidation des organisations transgenres et création de solidarités au sein du mouvement en Guinée.
- Bien-être et accompagnement psychosocial : organisation d’activités de bien-être, soutien psychosocial et promotion de la santé mentale, de l’épanouissement personnel et de la solidarité communautaire.

- HIV and health: HIV and STI prevention, awareness-raising, and referrals to testing and care services, facilitated by our peer educators from within the community.
- Protection and safety: providing support to transgender women who are victims of violence, threats, or rejection by their families, including emergency assistance and facilitating relocation to safe environments when their safety is at risk.
- Economic empowerment: strengthening the entrepreneurial capacity of transgender women, developing digital skills, and supporting their financial independence.
- Strengthening the transgender movement: developing community leadership, building the capacity of activists, consolidating transgender organizations, and fostering solidarity within the movement in Guinea.
- Well-being and psychosocial support: organizing well-being activities and providing psychosocial support to promote mental health, personal fulfillment, and community solidarity.
