In April 2016, Synergie Trans Benin (Synergy Trans Benin) was established as the first national trans organisation in Benin, intervening for the rights and development of trans people in the country. They are campaigning to increase the visibility of the needs and realities experienced in Black communities of French-Africa (Francophone Africa). The Executive Director is Passita Gonzales.
